Please read over the sales terms. Our goal is to make certain that you get the goat that you desire and that there are no misunderstandings in the sale process. We’re more than happy to answer questions and take pictures. Remember, the sale of a goat is not the end of your relationship with me and my herd, but the beginning! Feel free to ask questions and keep in contact.

 

MONEY MATTERS:

In order to "lock in" the reservation for your choice of kid, we require a $50.00 deposit. This deposit is considered non-refundable unless  1) the kid you reserved is not avaliable  2) the kid you reserved passes away before two months of age or until it leaves the farm, whichever comes first or  3) I decide to retain the kid. If one of these circumstances were to occur we would mail you your money back in cash as soon as we have made contact with you. You may also choose to switch the money to another goat/kid rather than have your deposit returned. These are the only deposit-return options, you cannot get your deposit returned for any other reasons. Certain features on a goat increase the price, keep this in mind as you shop for/purchase unborn kids. The features and charges are as follows  1) Moonspots add $25.00 to the original, agreed-upon price**  2) Blue eyes add $25.00 to the original, agreed-upon price**  3) Polled horns add $25.00 to the original, agreed-upon price**. Payment is required in full  1)Before the animal leaves the farm, be it a shipping date or pick-up  2) If you would like your animal registered with ADGA before pick-up or shipping. Any name requests and an additional charge of $10.00. If you would like a health certificate/vet check of the animal at any time before it leaves the farm, I will need to recieve a payment of $50.00. See the "SHIPPING" portion of the Policy Letter for information on dilivery/flying/etc.

KID CARE: 

All of Mazel Tov's kids are removed from the dam immediately after kidding to reduce any health risks and to place them directly in our care. They will be housed inside (yes in my home!) for up to one month, depending on their size, health, and the weather. Kids are fed multiple times a day for the first week and then are fed twice daily until two months of age. From that 8 week mark until 10 weeks of age they will be fed one bottle a day- then weaned. We feed our kids pasteurized goat's milk from our own does. If the event would occur in which we wouldn't have enough milk to support all of our kids, we would substitute whole cow's milk. Our babies will be offered grain at one month of age in addition to their bottles. We vaccinate and deworm our kids as well. All of our kids are disbudded when ready (approximately one month old, typically). If you purchase a wether, the deed will be done at one month of age.

 

HERD HEALTH:

As previously stated, we vaccinate our herd up to twice a year, as we see fit, and around kidding season. We also feed a special mix of loose minerals and alfalfa hay, in addition to our custom grain mix (avaliable upon request), to bring out our girls' best health and production. We are a CAE, CL, and Johne's preventative herd. We assure these measures by only buying disease-free animals who have been tested and by testing our own herd annually. Health certificates/vet checks can be done at your request and with the payment of $50.00.

 

SHIPPING:

I can ship any animal from the Madison, WI (Dane County Regional) Airport or I am more than happy to "goat jockey" them along to any shows I attend (see the list of shows and their locations that I regularly go to on my "Show Results" page). If I bring them to a show with me and you meet me there I won't be charging anything, they can just ride with! All costs of transporting your goat are your responsibility (air fees, required health checks,etc). If you choose to ship your animal via airtravel, I will need a crate mailed to me prior to the shipping date of your animal or I can pick one up for you and add the cost of the crate to your bill ($25.00).

 

PRODINGY OF EXCELLENCE REWARDS**

I like to see quality in my sold animals as well as the girls here on the farm. To encourage my girls (and you!) to be the best they can be, I offer a $25.00 cash reward to any doe kid I sell that earns a milking star! Also, any kid that I sell you that achieves Permanent Champion status will result in a $25.00 cash reward from me and the girls here at Mazel Tov!

FFA and 4-H DISCOUNTS**

I love seeing today's youth continuing on in dairy goats. As a former 4-H member and avid FFA leader and member, I am more than willing to give discounts to these kids! The discount is good on the price of the goat purchased, not shipping and health checks. The value of this discount is 20% off of the animal.
